Training Course Policies & Requirements

Standard Course policies


REGISTRATION

Registration for any CGS training course must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to the course start date. Registrations submitted less than five (5) days prior to the start of any class, will be permitted if there is any room available. In the event registration is subsequently cancelled , student will only be eligible for account credit; however , if student is a no call/no show, student and or registrant will not be eligible for any type of refund.

EXAMS 

Each student is permitted three (3) attempts at passing the final course exam, as mandated by local, State and/or federal regulations, which will be clarified by the instructor at the time of course. Students who do not pass the final  course exam will be offered the opportunity to retake the entire training course at a discounted price. Students who do not pass the final course exam will not be eligible for a refund.

STATE LICENSING

CGS offers NYSDOL License Application Handling and Submission services for some courses for an additional fee. Please refer to each specific course on our services & registration pages to determine if CGS offers this option for the said course enrollment. 

If a student opts out of service, or If CGS does not offer this option, the student is solely responsible for submitting and maintaining their own licensing, paperwork and associated license fees, to the state and/or Federal agency.

Please be advised CGS maintains a secured record of course completion certificates, as mandated by local, state and/or Federal regulations. Note: in the event the student loses or misplaces their completion certificates required for licensing, CGS can provide a duplicate copy to the student , where legal notarization fees may apply.

Students are solely responsible for maintaining their license with the local, state and/or federal agency, by attending refresher training as required (annually or Bi-annually) and remitting renewal license application(s) and fee(s). 




Attendance


Full attendance in any training course is mandated by the local, state and/ or federal regulations, to receive course completion certificates and subsequent applicable licensing. Please do not register for any course if you are unable to attend each day in its entirety.

  • Students are solely responsible & required to be on time for all training. start and end times are listed for each course
  • Students are solely responsible and must attend each day of training from start to finish as mandated by local, state, and/ or federal regulations.
  • Students who fail to report on time and/or fail to attend a training course in full are not eligible for a refund and will not receive course completion certificates as mandated by local, state and/or federal regulations.

Course Language

It is the sole responsibility of the students to ensure they can read, write, and comprehend the language in which the training course is given. Students who cannot complete a course due to language comprehension will not be eligible for a refund.

PROVIDER CANCELLATION

CGS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training course due to insufficient enrollment. In the event that CGS cancels or reschedules a training course, each student will be given the option to be transferred to a future course date or receive a full refund.




Student Cancellation or Missed Attendance

  • Each student is solely responsible for ensuring that CGS received your course cancellation request within three (3) business days prior to the course start date, in order to receive a full refund.
  • Course cancellation requests received in less than three (3) business days will only be eligible for an account credit to be used within one-year of cancellation requests. (no refunds)
  • No calls/No shows will only be eligible for an account credit to be used within one-year of the registered course start date. (no refunds).
  • In the event of missed training hours from late attendance where no make-up training is available, CGS, at its discretion, may provide a partial account credit to be used within one-year of registered course start date.
  • If make-up training is available by the instructor and the student does not attend the scheduled make-up date(s), no refund or account credit will be made.

RESCHEDULING/COURSE TRANSFERS:

When a student opts to reschedule their attendance in a training course or, if a student is transferred to a future training course at their request, it is the students sole responsibility to arrive on time and attend the course in full. Students who do not attend their rescheduled or transferred course will be eligible for a refund or account credit.

COURSE FEES:

Course fees are due prior to, or on the first day of the scheduled course in full. In order to attend the course and receive course completion certificates. All course fees include the training course, manuals, handouts and any other material distributed during the course.


CGS accepts Cash, PayPal, Corporate checks and all major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover). Any other form of payment is not accepted. Payments made with a corporate check may be subject to a 5-7 business day clearance before course completion certificates will be released.


GROUP COURSE FEES:

For groups containing 3 or more persons, a 20% Non-refundable Deposit is required in order to reserve seats within the same class. Balance is due in full prior to or on the 1st day of the scheduled course. In the event of cancellation by the customer no later than 5 days prior to the course date, the deposit will be retained by CGS for use on any training course within one (1) year.


REFUNDS:

All approved and eligible refund requests will be submitted to our accounting department and can take up to 5-10 business days to be processed. process times of refund are dependent upon forms of payment and credit card policies. Our detailed policy is outlined as follows:


FULL REFUNDS:

CGS will not provide a full refund after the first day of the scheduled course. In the event the student is unable to complete the scheduled course in full a partial refund will be determined by CGS accounting office.


FULL ACCOUNT CREDIT:

CGS will provide an account credit to be kept on file for six (6) months in the event of the following.

  • Registration received no less than three (3) business days prior to the course start date.
  • Cancellation request received no less than three (3) business days prior to course start date.
  • No call/No show.
  • Student does not comprehend course language. 


PARTIAL ACCOUNT CREDIT:

CGS may provide a partial account credit at its sole discretion, to be kept on file for 6 months in the event of the following.

  • Late attendance to regularly scheduled courses.
  • Student withdraws after attending first four (4) hours or less on the first day of course.
  • Missed Training Hours and/or Days to a regularly scheduled course.


NO REFUNDS/NO ACCOUNT CREDIT:

  • Registrations submitted no less than three (3) business days prior to start of scheduled course.
  • When a student is a No call/No show.
  • Missed Make-up Training.
  • Missed Attendance in rescheduled class.
  • Missed Attendance in the transferred class.
  • Student withdraws after completing the first full day of course.
  • Students who do not pass the final exam.


Students who OPT IN for Con-Test Group Services NYSDOL License Application Handling and Submission service, who do not receive course completion certificates due to any condition(s) outlined herein, will always receive a refund for the state license and CNS processing fees.


No refunds will be issued after 30 days of the original transaction date. Students requesting a refund after the 30-day period will be issued an account credit that will remain on file for up to 6 months.


COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION:

The information provided to CGS by Registrants and/or Students as part of your training course is not, and will never be sold to any third-party.  CGS will not disclose your personal information to any party with the exception of the Federal, State and/or local agency that regulates said training course. Therefore upon request from such regulatory entities we are required to provide information to. Information you provide on Course Evaluation Forms at the duration of your course may be used by CGS for marketing purposes.
